Description
A lovely warm-toned, mid-century teak dining table probably dating from the 1970’s. This has an integrated, butterfly-style extension leaf enabling the table to quickly and easily be transformed from a circle into a fat oval shape to accommodate extra guests. This is an aesthetically pleasing piece with gently tapered legs set into a deep circular frame. It may be useful to be aware that the table top is fixed to the frame and therefore cannot be dismantled for transportation. Whilst it can be carried on its side through a doorway it would be wise to check the dimensions if you have a narrow or irregular shaped hallway/access.
Why Buy Me? What’s not to love about a round dining table? I am more conducive to conversation and sociable meal times. Without a firm ‘head of the table’ equality reigns. My nifty extension leaf means that family dinners can easily become dinner parties (extra food and drink not included).
This table is in good condition for its age, we have cleaned and refinished it with several coatings of Danish oil to enhance and protect the wood. As with any pre-loved item there will be the odd scratch or bruise so please check the images for more details and feel free to message me with any questions. As shown in the images there is a very small chip to the veneer on the edge of the extension leaf. This is obviously not visible unless the table is extended and is also very slight. I would however be very happy to touch this up with a little wood stain before dispatching which would make it even less noticeable. if you would prefer.
