Description

Beaver & Tapley was founded in London just after the First World War by Newman Richardson. Together with designer Robert Heritage, they pioneered wall fixed or ‘floating’ units that did not need ‘ladders’ or a supporting framework. The company was also known for producing ranges of modular furniture that could be collected over time and arranged to suit any living space. Such flexibility came as a result of their functionalist, streamlined aesthetic which grew in popularity during the mid to late 20th century and remains highly sought after today.

This set, from the Tapley 33 range, comprises of two pieces, a lovely, mellow teak sideboard with 4 drawers and a spacious storage cupboard and a wall hung, open shelving unit. The simple clean lines and minimalistic doors and drawer fronts make this combination perfect for any stylish living space. The open shelving unit can be hung above the sideboard (as shown in the images), or as an independent, coordinating piece elsewhere in the room.

Why Buy Me? Ooozing with mid-century style, I provide high functioning storage with a very cool 70’s lounge feel.

Please be aware that the sideboard is extremely heavy and so we recommend that this is only suitable for ground floor living spaces.

In good condition with just the odd bump or scratch commensurate with age. There is a little sun fading on the right hand side of the sideboard – this is not particularly unsightly and may even be unnoticeable if positioned with this side closest to a wall or an additional unit. Please check the images for a good representation of the condition and feel free to message me with any questions.
