Description
This is a wonderful example of a Danish PS Modular wall System designed by Poul Cadovius in the mid-1960s. It is a fabulous sideboard/vinyl and storage cabinet with 4 display/bookshelves above. Both cabinets come with an internal shelf and one has a (removable) spring-loaded vinyl storage system within which could also work for filing paperwork or magazines.
This is a two-bay version with a pair of cabinets with sliding doors that hang side by side to create a wall-hung sideboard and a set of 4, height-adjustable, shelves that hang from elegant metal side supports.
The units are mounted on the wall supports and are fully adjustable, the wall supports need screw fixing to the wall (the screws aren’t included as it depends on the type of wall as to the fixing type). The clean lines and the wall-hung nature of the design have the benefit of lifting the furniture from the floor and creating visual space.
The condition is very good having been professionally cleaned and re-oiled to both bring out the grain as well as protecting it.
In good vintage condition with just the odd scratch/bruise as must be expected from a pre-loved piece with history.
