Description
A superb pair of mid-century Capella, two-seater sofas with teak frames and their original brown leather cushions. The Capella range was designed by Illum Wikkelso for Niels Eilerson during the 1960’s. It’s modular design means that, with the right components, you can create armchairs, 2, 3 and 4 seater sofas. This set offers the versatility of having either a pair of two-seaters or a three-seater and an armchair. The cushions are original to the sofas and show some signs of light wear (no rips) and colour variation, which is presumably from the effects of the sun. Fortunately, the colour difference is fairly evenly distributed between the two sofas, and whilst they are not identical in tone, they still sit well as a pair.
The teak frames are a gorgeous mellow colour and are in fabulous condition
Why buy us…. we are super stylish, perfectly formed and iconic in our design. Our leather cushions are gently aged and will add just the right amount of natural warmth and homely comfort to any living space.
Should you wish to use these as a 3 seater and an armchair but are not happy with the more obvious colour variation in the leather (when set up as such) we can arrange for new covers to be made. Please message us to discuss the price and fabric options.
The condition is very good. The frames show no obvious wear and the webbing is intact and taut. The leather on the cushions has some scratching and sun damage but nothing too displeasing. Please study the images for an honest representation of the condition and feel free to contact me with any questions.
