Description

Beaver & Tapley was founded in London just after the First World War by Newman Richardson. Together with designer Robert Heritage, they pioneered wall fixed or ‘floating’ units that did not need ‘ladders’ or a supporting framework. The company was also known for producing ranges of modular furniture that could be collected over time and arranged to suit any living space. Such flexibility came as a result of their functionalist, streamlined aesthetic which grew in popularity during the mid to late 20th century and remains highly sought after today.

This set, from the Tapley 33 range, comprises of a lovely low set of drawers, a drop front storage/drinks cabinet and a glass fronted display cabinet with adjustable glass shelves. The simple clean lines and exaggerated shape make this piece perfect for any stylish living space. The wall units can be hung above the set of drawers (as shown in the images), stacked on one side or, any which way takes your fancy. We rather like the idea of hanging them to one side and using the low drawer cabinet as seating.

The dimensions of each unit are as follows:
Low base unit – D 54.5cm x W 168cm x H 35cm
Glazed Cabinet – D 33cm x W 57cm x H 112cm
Drop Front cabinet – D41cm x W91.5 x H 40cm

Should you wish to build a longer stretch of units we have more components available so please message us and we will be very happy to help.

Why Buy Me? Ooozing with mid century style, I provide high functioning storage with a very cool 70’s lounge feel.

In good condition with just the odd bump or scratch commensurate with age. There is a little sun fading on one side of the base unit. Please check the images for a good representation of the condition and feel free to message me with any questions.
